Born in Texas raised in OAKLAND CALIFORNIA. “Goldie” was molested at the age of 5, a victim of child abused at the age of 9, bullied in elementary school until jr. high, ran away from home by the age of 13, dropped out of school and became pregnant at the age 15, then entered into the world of drugs, alcohol and wild parties which led to becoming a teen prostitute at the age of 19. Crack cocaine was the drug of her choice and after a couple of months of using her weight had dropped down to 89 pounds. Ms. Goldie had been sexually assaulted by 6 individuals through out her life and at one time she thought she had contracted HIV. It's only by the grace of God that her life was spared and that she made it out alive. Today, she has opened up her heart to share with the world the story about her life, her tragedies, and her triumph. She has been set free from drugs, depression, past hurts, rejection, prostitution, etc. however, there are times that she still struggles with post traumatic stress syndrome and anxiety, she knows she still a work in progress but she won't let that stop her from reaching out to help others. Her life has been transformed and renewed and she is spreading the message of hope. Ms Goldie Reed now shares her story at youth events, group homes, rehabilitation centers, juvenile hall, correctional facilities etc. Ms Goldie established Say NO YO in 2012 in Los Angeles CA to assist others who have been through traumas similar to hers, she has dedicated her life to helping others and is now the author of 11 books on Amazon, writing about her experiences so that others can be healed.
